About me
I have taught Yoga for 25 years in Hong Kong and the UK. I completed my yoga training with the Yoga for Health Foundation, but have since been influenced by Jenny Beeken and Peter Blackaby in the Scaravelli tradition. I believe that Yoga helps develop a positive, relaxed approach to everyday life and an overall sense of well being. It can increase your fitness, reduce your stress, tone your body and optimise your health.
It’s a myth that Yoga requires acrobatic skills or years of experience. The beauty of Yoga is that it offers benefits and asanas (postures) for every shape, age and body type. As our bodies begin to show the signs of daily wear and tear, yoga can be the ideal exercise. Low impact and non-competitive, invigorating rather than exhausting, the ancient discipline of yoga can be practised at any time of life by men and women. I run weekly classes at Lower Hardres Village Hall, Canterbury as well as occasional yoga days. In addition I also offer a very popular residential course in France, at the Mill Retreat. I am a full member of the AIYP (Association of Independent Yoga Practitioners) hold a first aid certificate, and am fully insured. You can find information about classes and workshops on these pages but please do call or email if you would like any other information. |
